As a business, Electrio is constantly seeking new ways to help our larger clients by ensuring a continuous electrical supply. Over the years we have spent many hours trying to locate faults, without disturbing the surrounding area. In a bid to help us improve our fault location, one of our electricians, Andrew Stevens spent four days in Cardiff undergoing training to use Thermographic Technology.

Andrew has successfully gained his level one Certificate as a Thermographer. Using an infrared camera, he can locate faults and even detect if there may be a failing later on within certain installations.

“We’re delighted to be able to offer this detection facility,” commented Tony Long, managing director. “Being able to detect and even prevent future electrical faults will help many companies remain operational.”
